The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Party

Since the launch of Campaign 4, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with rich lore, a colorful mix of personalities, and a exciting storyline featuring celestial beings, evil spirits, and dark forces expanding in influence within the urban setting.

Heads-up: Revealing details for Episode 3 of the new season lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The third episode concluded with a major cliffhanger and presented the premier party of characters who will split off from the main group to begin their separate journey, distinct from the remaining groups.

The Soldiers table features Teor (played by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (the cast member), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

Why Split the Party?

With 13 cast members, it was obvious from the start that maintaining everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the initial installments of this story serve as an Introduction, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three distinct groups: Fighters, Planners, and Questers.

What Defines the Soldiers Table

According to the DM, the warrior group is for participants who enjoy a typically action-packed combat and conflict-driven narrative style where non-violent answers are rare.

At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander might look out of place, but the developments of the third episode demonstrate why these specific adventurers are best suited for the warrior group.

Motivations for Departure

For one thing, the team has a clear idea where to go next after a brutal first encounter with the enemy group.

A former ally of Thjazi—whose death started the campaign’s events—used the foes for his personal gain, invading Thjazi’s hideout, attacking the character, and stealing all the enchanted items to dispose of.

The traitor then cleared his debts and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, north of the city, with Cyd hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each member has a personal reason to depart Dol-Makjar:

  • The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, wants revenge.
  • Kattigan knows Timmony and advises that it is a hostile environment.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to execute the fighter and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their position as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the group access areas they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.

Fugitives

In addition, all of them are wanted by the rulers that govern the setting for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • Thimble and The hero are known criminals.
  • The warrior and The healer turned against the influential house and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • The target is marked for death by the clan.

This results in them few options but to head to the northern region in quest for the traitor.

What’s Next?

From episode three’s follow-up content, we learn that the Soldiers table will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight players to round up the Questers and Planners tables.

Audiences can expect discovering which players will be assigned to which table in Campaign 4’s last Overture episode, released on next week.
