The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua said.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really proceeding.
